Apple introduces yellow iPhone 14 and 14 Plus models

The new yellow iPhone 14 from Apple is one of several new color options. The new color option will only come standard with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, unlike last year when it was also included with the Pro versions.

The device is also available in black, blue, purple, white, and red, but the new yellow hue is a welcome addition. After the yellow iPhone XR debuted in 2018, the last time we saw a yellow iPhone was with the introduction of the iPhone 11 in 2019. Along with the new iPhone shade, Apple also introduced a slew of spring-inspired Watch band hues and silicone iPhone covers.

For the past few years, Apple has introduced a new iPhone hue in the spring. Most recently, the company unveiled “alpine green” iPhone 13 and 13 Pro models. There are no other significant changes to the new versions, but they could help Apple maintain its smartphone sales momentum in the weeks following the holiday shopping season.

The iPhone 14 was released last September, and the first two versions to feature Apple’s new Dynamic Island were the Pro and the Pro Max. While Apple has since been updating its iPhone 14 lineup with a number of new features, including a satellite connectivity feature that lets you contact emergency responders without cellular service, third-party apps have been adding support for the status indicator afforded by the device’s Dynamic Island.

The vibrant yellow phones will go on sale on March 14 after they have been available for preorder since Friday, March 10th.
